2014 Masters Limited Edition Golf Products

2014 Masters Limited Edition Golf Products

How can you make a 2014 Masters tournament-themed product without mentioning… the 2014 Masters? Well, here’s four good examples of how.

Early April is a time for golf club and merchandise sellers to get creative and come up with the coolest, most unique limited edition products with a distinct 2014 Masters-y flavor. Clearly, it’s a good idea for a golf company to associate itself with the sport’s most important event, but with the 2014 Masters that can get a little tricky.

The membership at Augusta National is notoriously protective of its tournament and copyrights,  and enforces a strict ban on the use of the 2014 Masters name or logo outside of a select few partnerships. That’s why you’ll see a flood of green and gold merchandise with names like “the Highway 20 special” or “in celebration of the year’s first Major.”

Limited Edition Green COBRA BiO CELL Driver.

Limited Edition Green COBRA BiO CELL Driver: $399.99

Only 2,014 of these 2014 Masters-edition COBRA drivers were produced. There’s green and gold all over the place here, including on the clubhead, grip, headcover, and premium Aldila ATX Tour Green shaft. With the limited availability and upgraded shaft, this driver carries a $400 price tag, $100 more than its off-the-rack counterparts.

Callaway Masters Arnold Palmer Limited Edition Staff Bag.

Callaway Masters Arnold Palmer Limited Edition Staff Bag

With the first episode of the three-part mini-series “Arnie” premiering right after the 2014 Masters wraps up Sunday, everyone is piling onto The King’s bandwagon. Palmer’s been a longtime Callaway staffer, signing a lifetime contract with Ely Callaway in the ’90s. This bag celebrates Palmer’s finest Masters moments — with each of his four victory years circling the bottom of the bag — and includes lots of signature Arnie style, including crowns and umbrellas stitched on the bag.

Fred Couples Signature ECCO BIOM Hybrid Golf Shoes.

Fred Couples Signature ECCO BIOM Hybrid Golf Shoes: $275.00

Freddy’s been a favorite at the Masters for decades and has been in contention into the weekend the last several years. ECCO is only producing 275 pairs of these white and green 2014 Masters-edition shoes, which feature a laser-engraved Couples signature near the heel.

2014 Masters

Bettinardi Limited Edition Highway 20 Invitational Masters Putter.

Bettinardi Limited Edition Highway 20 Invitational Masters Putter: $999.99

Bob Bettinardi has a history with the Masters, as he hand-milled Bernhard Langer’s 1993 Masters-winning Scotty Cameron back before he started his own company.

Now every year Bettinardi Golf produces a limited run of putters called the Highway 20 (the interstate that runs through town) as an homage to Augusta National. This year’s Highway 20 is based on the BB8 head style, with a half toe hang and full offset. The classic Honeycomb face is engraved with azaleas, as is the cavity pocket. Only 130 of these putters were produced, and each putter comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Bettinardi.
