Bettinardi Putters – Studio Stock Series Review
Bob Bettinardi started making putters back in 1991, and was a sought after designer during the mid-90′s working for some of the biggest major manufacturers in the industry. In 1998 Bob started Bettinardi Golf, and the first prototype putters that he made are still some of the most sought after putters on the market today. The craftsmanship that goes into creating a Bettinardi putter is second to none, no matter if it’s the patented Honeycomb milling, the FIT face technology or the finish applied to the putter you know that you are getting the very best putter available on the market.
After spending some time with some OEM companies during the 2000′s (including Ben Hogan Golf, and Mizuno), Bettinardi Golf is back where it all began creating and crafting putters for their own brand. After a solid 2010, Bettinardi Golf has design a whole new line up in 2011 with three different series of putters (BB Series, Studio Stock Series, Signature Series). We are looking at the Studio Stock Series today, and the four putters that are included in that line. The SS5 (similar to a BB1) & SS6 (similar to BB2 – also pictured above) will look very familiar to those that know Bettinardi putters well. What is unique to this series is the new FIT face (which provides a softer feel) and the new amazing looking Borealis Black finish which is very durable and will not require any maintenance. They also have a mallet style (SS7) and a plumbers next putter with a higher looking toe (SS8) that complete the line up. With all of the work done in the USA, and one-piece technology Bettinardi Golf is creating and making the best putters on the market.
Availability on these putters is very limited, but 2nd Swing Golf carries all three series of putters. Stop on in and check out these putters in person and you will be amazed by their beauty. Ask one of our store associates any questions that you have, and make sure that you see one of our certified fitters to receive a putter fitting!
