New YONEX EZONE XP Hybrid: $199.99

Just after the end of World War II, YONEX began with only a single horsepower motor in wood manufacturing. For decades, the company would be known — and is to this day — for its signature badminton rackets before moving on to aluminum designs and finally golf clubs by the 1980′s. By then, YONEX was a leader in utilizing carbon materials.

The EZONE XP Hybrid is made to launch the ball high and maximize distance from a variety of lies. The body and face is constructed of SUS630 stainless steel with a precision casting crown construction. The signature YONEX shaft is made of high-intensity EX300 carbon. It also comes with a tungsten balance grip from Golf Pride.

The YONEX EZONE XP Hybrid has the company’s Dual Tungsten Power (DTP) system, which it touts as  an innovative engineering breakthrough to produces maximum power and distance. The DTP system featuring tungsten in both the grip and clubhead and is made to work in conjunction with the lightweight carbon shaft.

“The result is a swing that delivers an explosive power breakthrough with the same effort, adding more yards to your game,” according to YONEX about its  unique Dual Tungsten Power (DTP) system in the grip and clubhead.

Finally, the YONEX EZONE XP Hybrid features its own carbon composite crown, which is ultra-light to enable both an 8-gram tungsten screw and an 8-gram weight that can be positioned deep in the clubhead. The idea is to control the center of gravity to promote a high-launch trajectory and extra forgiveness for more driving distance, according to YONEX.
