Limited Edition: 2014 Honma Putters

Limited Edition: 2014 Honma Putters

Honma Golf

The Honma Golf Company of Sakata, Japan has been making super high-end golf clubs since the 1960s. It was an early adopter in the use of new materials like graphite and titanium  to clubmaking and shaftmaking. The company has always avoided mass-production methods, instead building an army of highly skilled craftsmen — which has made it the largest employer in Sakata, a city of more than 100,000 residents.

Length: 34 inches

Dexterity: Right-handed

The Beres PP-101 is a blade putter, with tungsten-weighted heel and toe implants in the sole, helping keep the putter hugged to the green for a truer, more consistent roll. The putter has a plumber-neck hosel and half-shaft offset, resulting in a half toe-hang weighting. The body is made from a soft carbon steel, while the face insert is made from stainless steel. The finish is a black nickel, with a gold dot and sight line  running down the stepped cavity.

It’s almost the same putter as above, but, with a glossier nickel platinum finish. Also, check out the red cavity and red “Mole in the Hole” logo on the face of each putter as well as the stitched black and gold headcover that comes with each putter.

Length: 34 inches

Dexterity: Right-handed

This mid-mallet putter has the same light-sucking black finish and gold sighting, along with the same soft CNC milled carbon steel construction, tungsten sole pads and grooved, stainless steel face as the PP-101. This time, the double-bend shaft and mallet head make this a face-balanced putter. This particular putter has a black cavity emblem and mole logo on the face.
