Minnesota Golf Show 2013 – Win a Trip To Pebble Beach from 2nd Swing Golf!
2nd Swing Golf has a commanding presence at the Minnesota Golf Show this year, taking up lots of Minneapolis Convention Center real estate with a huge selection of golf clubs, fitting bays and apparel. Seriously, not to toot our own horn, but for those who aren’t interested in a golf vacation, we’re the best thing going out on the show floor. Check out our Golf Show Setup Video - that’s us with nearly half the show floor locked down.
In addition to the clubs, bags and balls we brought to the show – which you can typically find in our stores, as well – we packed some serious apparel for the weekend, too. This is name-brand golf clothing from country clubs and pro shops around the country, all assembled and heavily discounted for your perusing and purchasing pleasure. It’s like that song “Thrift Shop,” only for golfers. It’s worth the $9 admission to the show if you even buy pair of shorts, shirt or hat, and if you buy $100 or more 2nd Swing will refund your entry fee.
What else was cool about the show? Well, of course you have our fitters, who all weekend will be showing players of all skill levels what clubs they should be using to max out their potential. We’ve got our PING n’Flight systems set up, and our staff of award-winning fitters are excited to reach some new customers, including the younger generation.
Away from the 2nd Swing tent, we found it enjoyable to check out some the unique products that are being hawked at smaller booths throughout the show. This year, the guys from Gravity Centered Golf caught our eye with a series of center-shafted drivers and fairway woods. They look weird (and a bit gimmicky) but then, we never got the chance to test their claim of improved accuracy over traditional clubs. The basic theory, we gathered, was that swinging a clubhead attached the shaft near its center will produce less twisting than on the traditional heel-shafted clubs that, ahem, everyone else in golf makes. Color us skeptical, but you’ll have to go check out their booth and see for yourself.
There always plenty of giveaways and prizes to be one at an industry convention, and the Golf Show is no different. Attendees can putt for a chance to $100,000, sign up for club giveaways, or bid auction-style on signed plaques and memorabilia from famous golfers and Minnesota icons. One of the framed photos we liked was an aerial view of Pebble Beach, where Brandt Snedeker won the AT&T Pro-Am last weekend. Speaking of Pebble, 2nd Swing unveiled today a sweepstakes we’ll be running throughout the golf season: an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Pebble Beach. There will be multiple ways to sign up throughout the season, so make sure you keeping checking our blog, Facebook and Twitter pages, and 2ndswing.com for chances to win!
