Day 2 of the Minnesota Golf Show brought a lot of people to the Minneapolis Convention Center looking for deals on golf clubs, clothing and tee times at Twin Cities golf courses.  Maybe it was people trying to beat the incoming snowstorm (more on that later), or people just that excited for the 2011 golfing season, no matter what it was that brought people to the show there were more people there today than in years past on Saturday.

The 2nd Swing booths were literally fulled with people waiting in line for over 15 minutes at times just to check out on the items they were looking for purchase.  While the sales were great, what was really great to see was everyone hearing about the importance of getting fit properly.  Going through a proper fitting is going to improve your game and make the sport more enjoyable because you know that you have equipment that is built to your needs as opposed to “off the rack”.  I read a statistic in Golf Magazine a couple of years back, and while I forget the exact percentage, stating that over 98% of golfers have never been fit properly.  At 2nd Swing we pride ourselves on fitting each and every customer properly as it is the most important part of the game.  With certified fitters from all of the major manufacturers including: Ping, TaylorMade, Callaway & Mizuno just to name a few we can find that club that will suit your game the best as well as have it properly set up for you.  We were doing fittings all day long, and seeing customers with smiles on their faces is what makes the long days of the Minnesota Golf Show worth while.

Hopefully for day three of golf show we find that our faithful Minnesotans find their way to the convention center.  As the self-proclaimed 2nd Swing meteorologist, watching the weather forecast this evening for Sunday makes me thankful that spring is right around the corner.  If you are heading down to the show 2nd Swing will continue to have great deals on clothing, shoes and of course golf clubs.  Travel safe and stop on by and say hello.
